The West Midlands Police have announced on their website that they have arrested three men in conjunction with a shooting incident last month this year. This incident took place in Newtown Row, Newtown, Birmingham and concerns a 15 year old boy who was found with gunshot wounds.
The 15 year old was understood by police to have been shot in the nearby park at Porchester Street and sustained non life threatening injuries.
During the investigation, the West Midlands Police arrested and detained two men in the ages of 21 and 27. This was done after a car was stopped at High Wycombe on the 5th of August 2026. Another man, this one 24 years old was also detained and arrested from a vehicle in Birmingham.
All three men have been arrested on the charges of suspicion to commit murder and remain in police custody for further questioning.
The West Midlands Police maintain that they are continuing to investigate, conducting a thorough review of CCTV and are still establishing what happened and the people involved in this incident.
