Published on the West Midlands Police website, the force has announced a successful operation in convicting a man for drug charges.
Detailing the results on their website, this man was first caught in Handsworth, during a routine patrol. Around Villa Road on August 5 2025, officers spotted a man acting suspiciously. Officers, when they asked the man to stop, refused to do and police gave chase. As the police officers chased after the suspect, he threw a bag over a wall.
When this bag was recovered, it was discovered to contain a large quantity of Class A drugs, and a phone was seized by officers uncovering drug dealing links. There were 400 wraps of drugs that were found and seized and upon tested found to be crack cocaine and heroin.
The perpetuator Mohammad Jangheer who is 45 years old and from Village Road was charged with possession with the intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin and denied both of the offenses.
On Monday 20th July, at a trial at Birmingham Crown Court, he was found guilty of both offenses and was remanded in Custody and will be sentenced in September.
